ABOUT AIDAN COSTELLO

Guerilla Futurist | Systems & Somatics

My understanding of the world is deeply rooted in the western landscapes that shaped me. Growing up along Colorado's Front Range and eventually putting down roots in Oregon's Willamette Valley, I became acutely aware early on of the layers of history, displacement, and systemic fragility embedded in our infrastructure. Navigating those realities—often forging physical security out of absolute minimums—permanently shaped my expectations for the future in an era of climate shifts, evolving economies, and systemic polycrisis.

But looking at the challenges ahead, my philosophy is not one of doomsday fear. It is one of radical, localized abundance. I call it Pleasure Prepping.

I believe we must prepare for the neighborhood picnic with the same urgency and rigorous skill we might use to prepare for a Cascadia-level event—because the core foundation of both is identical. Knowing how to navigate a river, map local ecology, build fire, and engineer shelter are the exact competencies required to survive a crisis, but they are also the exact skills required to host a profoundly good afternoon in the woods. The capabilities we build for our own joy are the same ones that build durable resilience.

Today, my work operates at the intersection of three distinct ledgers:

  • Structural Systems & Fabrication: Over a decade of hands-on experience spanning solar photovoltaic infrastructure, grid compliance, PMP-certified project management, and bio-responsive physical builds (such as The Sacred Grove and Eco-Node).

  • Somatic Engineering: Certified RYT-200 instructor utilizing the 27.5 Senses framework and custom Yoga Nidra to help individuals map, regulate, and stabilize the physical vessel.

  • Sonic Architecture: Electronic audio production under AidansAxisMundi and Prozaik, exploring Phonk, Nu-Disco, and Savasiphonk as kinetic tools for somatic regulation and momentum.

For years, my work was driven by versatility and an internal need to test myself through risk. This current phase is defined by mastery, intentional boundaries, and sovereign design. I have always struggled to reconcile the world as it is with the systems it could become. Whether building physical infrastructure, designing bio-responsive art, or teaching neuro-vagal stability, the mission is the same: to build resilient, thriving systems of abundance right on our own doorstep.
